As of 1 July 2025, Evonik is using electricity from renewable sources to produce polybutadiene at its plant in Marl, Germany. This means that the Polyvest product family, which has several applications in tyre manufacture, is now contributing towards Evonik’s environmental goals for 2030, which include a 25 per cent reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions compared with 2021 levels.
