The Electric Vehicle Advisory Council (EVAC), part of the Tire Industry Association (TIA), has introduced an EV hybrid glossary. The purpose of the glossary is to help industry professionals, legislators, and regulators understand the electric and hybrid vehicle landscape.
EV Hybrid Glossary Aims to Improve Service and Legislation
The glossary serves as a resource for tire dealers, service technicians, and automotive professionals who service and maintain electric and hybrid vehicles. The glossary helps industry professionals, lawmakers, regulators, and policymakers understand service requirements and inform policy decisions.
“As electric and hybrid vehicles continue to reshape our industry, this glossary will be a valuable tool for both industry professionals and policymakers,” said Mark Ferner, Senior Manager, Technical Operations for Bridgestone Retail Operations and chair of TIA’s Electric Vehicle Advisory Council (EVAC).
EVAC said it identifies safe servicing procedures for electric vehicles and promotes those procedures through education and training programs. These programs target tire, automotive, and commercial service centers. EVAC said it created the glossary as part of its mission to improve safety standards and industry knowledge.
The glossary helps industry professionals, lawmakers, and regulators understand EV and hybrid vehicle service requirements. It can be accessed online.
