Euro NCAP tests: which trucks are the safest?

Must read

The Euro NCAP organization recently published its ranking for 2025 for trucks. The familiar values have remained, but there are new models that have received the highest assessment.

In 2024, only the Volvo FM and the Volvo FH Aero received five stars. Mercedes-Benz had not officially participated last year and Euro NCAP had used an already registered vehicle. The German manufacturer took part this year and that was a good decision, because in addition to the two Swedish models, the Mercedes-Benz Actros with a classic cabin also received five stars. The Actros F and Actros L Procabin remain at four stars due to a slightly less direct visibility.

With four euros NCAP stars, the Renault Trucks T and the Scania G could be found last year. The Renault T has improved its scores thanks to a new detection system for cyclists, but remains on four stars, while the Scania R wins a star. The DAF XF remains on three stars, but Euro NCAP emphasizes that DAF supplies almost all its safety equipment in the basic equipment.

Finally, Man rejected the invitation of Euro NCAP, just like in 2024. The tested TGX was therefore an already registered model and remained on three stars. Euro NCAP, on the other hand, has not tested Ivecos and no Ford F-Max.
