Euro NCAP continues to test different truck models to assess their active and passive safety and has recently published the results for the Ford F-Max, the Iveco S-Way, the low cab Scania L and the Volvo FH. The latter two receive five stars, one thanks to excellent peripheral vision for the driver and a comprehensive range of safety systems, and the other thanks to some subtle improvements that earn it the fifth star and the City Safe label. The Ford F-Max Gen2 was tested for the first time and immediately achieved three stars, a score that could be improved quite easily if the Turkish manufacturer were to offer some additional semi-autonomous driving systems. Finally, the Iveco S-Way has made progress in several areas and won a star (from 1 to 2).
