Must read

Elmer Wiemer, chief financial officer and intended chief executive officer of Heuver Group died on Sunday 4 May. Wiemer passed away at the age of just 48, after a short period of illness, Heuver Group representatives explained in a statement sharing the tragic news.

In his role as CFO, Elmer Wiemer – who took office in 2020 – made “a crucial contribution to strengthening the course, further professionalising the organisation and achieving sustainable growth. His keen financial insight and strategic view were always supported by a great sense of responsibility and an approachable, human style of leadership”, the statement continued, adding:

“Elmer was more than a financial director. He was a connector, someone with the rare ability to bring people and interests together. Like no other, he understood the dynamics of the family business and knew how to strengthen it with great care and dedication. With his energy, positivity and genuine attention to the people around him, he gave direction and confidence – to the company, to colleagues and to the future.”

“Elmer’s legacy is tangible in the way we work together, in the culture he helped shape and in the ambitions he helped realise. It is hard to fathom that we have to miss him already. We lose in him not only a leader, but also a warm personality, a dedicated colleague and a dear friend”, Heuver Group’s management continued, concluding:

“His far too early passing touches the family business deeply. His vision, words and values will live on in the foundations of the company, in the people he touched and in the way Heuver Group continues to operate.”
