Ghistelinck Automotive had already announced that it would develop its own Academy to train future employees. The EDUCAM training center was chosen as a structural partner for this project.
Ghistelinck Automotive inaugurated its Academy in Waregem this year to train its technicians internally as much as possible. “We offer training to close the gap between the skills of new employees and what is really needed to perform their work with pleasure and efficiency,” explains Joris Hindryckx, Training & Development Manager. “For example, we note that the knowledge of electricity among technicians active in the bodywork industry is often insufficient. But we also organize training for our executives. With the Academy we create a real learning culture and at the same time strengthen the atmosphere and cohesion within the company.”
So it is the trainers who come to Waregem, the headquarters of the Ghistelinck Automotive group. EDUCAM organizes and supports programs for the development of soft skills, such as mentor training aimed at guidance and internal culture. On the other hand, EDUCAM trains Ghistelinck Automotive employees according to the train-the-trainer principle, so that the company can eventually provide recognized technical training itself, in consultation with the brands. Thanks to the Ghistelinck Academy, EDUCAM can also organize other training courses in West Flanders, mainly aimed at working safely on hybrid and electric vehicles.
