Dunlop-equipped teams excelled at the 45th running of the 12 Hours of La Chinelle off-road endurance race in Franchimont, Belgium. Husqvarna Belgique secured its fourth victory, with KTM Wheeling Team finishing fourth.
The gruelling event saw over 75 teams race a rugged 7km track from midnight to midday, featuring forest trails, steep descents and technical challenges. Dunlop described the event as an ideal proving ground for its Geomax EN91 enduro tyres. The Geomax EN91’s compound, with hexagonal and tilted crown blocks, delivers agile handling and maximum grip on off-road terrain.
Husqvarna’s Jens Getteman, Kevin Fors, and Tanguy Gabriel completed 76 laps, finishing two minutes ahead of KTM Sport Benelux. In open tyre competition, KTM Wheeling’s Valentin Lacasse, Jerome Martiny, and Harry Seel also chose the EN91, achieving a strong fourth-place finish. Proven at major events like the 6DAYS FIM Enduro of Nations, the Geomax range continues to offer riders superior grip, traction, and durability across varied and demanding conditions.
Wim Van Achter, motorsport manager, Dunlop Motorcycle Europe, commented: “Congratulations to our Dunlop-equipped teams for their success at such a gruelling event. The 12H of La Chinelle is a true test of endurance, with varied terrain and long riding hours through dusk and dawn. The Dunlop Geomax range is designed to deliver performance in exactly these demanding conditions, and we’re very pleased to see two Dunlop-equipped teams finish with such success. This result is testament to the confidence top riders of all levels have in Dunlop Geomax performance and durability.”
Wim Vandeheyden, team manager, Husqvarna Belgique, added: “Thanks to the versatile nature of our Dunlop tyres and mousses, we gained an edge over the competition both on track and in the pit lane. Dunlop’s durability allowed us to save valuable time by avoiding unnecessary tyre changes. Over 12 hours of racing, the conditions can change lap by lap, but from dusk till dawn the Dunlop Geomax tyres proved the ideal choice.”
