Drax EV expands with new Coventry depot to meet rising demand

Must read

A leading supplier of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions for businesses has opened a new warehouse and office facility in Coventry as part of expansion plans to employ 120 staff and operate two additional depots across the UK.

The Holbrook Park site will serve as a warehouse with office and meeting facilities for Drax Electric Vehicles (Drax EVs) and their installation business, BMM Energy Solutions. As demand for EV infrastructure continues to rise, the new depot will support the businesses’ expanding operations across the UK.

BMM Energy Solutions has been installing EV charging hubs and on-street EV charging for the past 12 years. Its customers include Euro Garages, Applegreen Electric, Morrisons Supermarkets, Jolt and Arnold Clark, with many of these installations within the Coventry area.

Adam Hall, Director of Drax Electric Vehicles & BMM Energy Solutions, said, “Electric vehicle charging is a growth area. With our experience and the new premises, we aim to employ 120 staff and operate two additional depots.”

“Coventry is the perfect location for us. Its close proximity to the motorways allows our engineers to access almost anywhere in the country to install EV chargepoints. There’s also a fantastic pool of local talent to support our growth ambitions.”

Together, Drax EVs and BMM Energy Solutions offer a complete end-to-end journey for organisations seeking to electrify their fleets or premises. They cover everything from vehicle suitability assessments through to charge point installation, operation and ongoing maintenance – providing fleet managers with a single point of contact throughout their electrification journey.

The partnership leverages Drax Group’s scale and energy expertise to deliver cost-effective, future-proofed charging solutions. As demand for commercial EV infrastructure continues to rise, this expansion represents a significant investment in capacity to support large-scale fleet operators making the transition to electric vehicles.
