Diane Govaerts is no longer CEO of Ziegler

Must read

The Ziegler Group board of directors has dismissed Diane Govaerts as CEO. The press release mentions ‘turbulence within certain divisions of the group’ and states that this decision was taken after ‘a thorough analysis of the situation of the group and the sector’. Diane Govaerts has been replaced with immediate effect by Lee Marshall, who until then held the position of Managing Director of Ziegler UK.

Diane Govaerts joined Ziegler’s executive committee in 2016 and became CEO two years later, after the death of Arthur Ziegler, of whom she is the granddaughter. Together with Alain Ziegler, she had radically changed the family group, to such an extent that she was named Manager of the Year 2022 for the French-speaking part of Belgium by the magazine Trends-Tendances. Her departure follows the resignation of several executives, some of which had been reported to the editors in recent weeks.
