Phinia Inc brand Delphi has claimed leadership of five primary steering and suspension categories in the European independent aftermarket (IAM). These include track control arms/wishbones, ball joints, stabiliser bar links, and inner and outer tie rods. The brand’s coverage exceeds 80 per cent across the vehicle parc, with most categories surpassing 95 per cent, such as outer tie rods at 98.05 per cent and control arms at 95.84 per cent. This milestone reflects long-term catalogue development and alignment with repair demands, resulting in a 30 per cent increase in saleable SKUs since 2023.
Steering and Suspension components are vital for vehicle safety and performance, and Delphi’s extensive range ensures workshops can deliver reliable repairs. The portfolio now includes over 8,500 SKUs, supporting essential repair categories and reducing sourcing delays for workshops and distributors.
Delphi is also addressing market changes by expanding coverage for Chinese vehicle manufacturers. Recent additions include 65 parts for models from BYD, MG (SAIC), and Chery/Omoda, with a pipeline of 450 further components in progress. This proactive approach positions Delphi to meet growing demand as these vehicles become more common on European roads.
For distributors, Delphi says its comprehensive coverage simplifies supply planning and minimises gaps in high-volume categories. For workshops, it enhances repair capacity and customer satisfaction. This achievement underscores Delphi’s commitment to innovation and leadership in providing high-quality parts for Europe’s most diverse vehicle range.
