By the end of May 2025, the UK had more than 1.5 million fully electric vehicles (EVs) on the road. Of these, nearly 180,000 are new EVs, which account for 20 per cent of all new cars registered this year. The strength of EV take-up means that an increasing number of tyre manufacturers are readying aftermarket products suitable for the safety and performance demands of EVs.
