Must read

Cosmo Tires is displaying its new Mud Kicker X at SEMA. The manufacturer said this marks the latest evolution of its off-road Mud Kicker platform, first introduced in 2021. The tire debuts with construction and design updates aimed at delivering stronger off-road traction while maintaining on-road performance, Cosmo said.

According to Cosmo, the Mud Kicker X introduces patent-pending Shoulder Claws with a 9 mm shoulder depth for increased traction. It also features patent-pending Bead Claw technology, which adds traction surface and bite in deep mud and snow. Cosmo said the new compound boosts durability while the tire’s tread, sidewalls, and dual sidewall styling enhance its look.

Cosmo launched the first size, 37×13.50×22, at SEMA. An additional eight sizes are planned for Phase 1, with ordering expected by the end of the first quarter of 2026. During Phase 2, the company will introduce nine more sizes to expand coverage.

According to Cosmo, key features of the Mud Kicker X include:

  • Mud rated: Combines aggressive tread and sidewall design with proprietary compounding for performance in deep mud and snow.
  • Quiet Kat technology: Geometric Isolation reduces on-road noise.
  • Dual sidewall styling: One side features raised lettering, while the other offers indented lettering with a textured pebble shoulder aesthetic.
  • Multi-faceted shoulder claws: 9-mm lugs angled between 10° and 90° to increase grip and aid self-cleaning.
  • Patent-pending Bead Claw technology: Enhances traction surface in mud and snow.
  • 3-ply sidewall and robust undertread: Delivers strength and impact resistance with up to a 12-ply-rated undertread.
  • Tread block divots and stone ejector ridges: Help clear debris to maintain grip and extend tire life.

Cosmo Tires said the Mud Kicker X includes a 50,000-mile warranty and a Hassle-free road hazard warranty.
