Continental has become the first tyre manufacturer to use the Lanxess’s new Vulkanox HS Scopeblue rubber. This is the more sustainable, ISCC PLUS-certified version of According to life cycle assessments, this additive, which is produced from raw materials such as biocircular acetone, has a carbon footprint that is more than 30 per cent lower than its conventionally manufactured counterpart.
