The fifth generation of Continental Conti Hybrid tires, designed to meet the needs of regional transport, was launched in 2022. This is now supplemented with new HT5 tires for towed equipment.
This new series replaces the Conti Hybrid HT 3+ series and is distinguished by a 15% higher mileage and optimized rolling resistance. But according to Hinnerk Kaiser, head of development at Continental, grip on wet and cold roads has mainly been improved thanks to the new rubber compound and optimized tread profile. The Conti Hybrid 5 has a B score for the criterion ‘grip on wet surfaces’ on the European tire label. It is also quiet (A score).
“All tires in the Hybrid family are designed to cover thousands of kilometers and perform for a long time, no matter how demanding the regional applications are,” summarizes Hinnerk Kaiser. The optimized construction of the Conti Hybrid Gen 5 carcass also enables high-quality regrooving, allowing the tire to go through multiple life cycles. All tires are also equipped with an RFID sensor.
