The automotive industry’s demand for semiconductors is increasing and, as Continental shares, estimates suggest that the global market for these products will approach £100 billion by 2032. With high and growing demand in mind, Continental’s Automotive group sector – the future Aumovio – has established an Advanced Electronics & Semiconductor Solutions (AESS) organisation, onboarding GlobalFoundries (GF) as its manufacturing partner. This new organisation will design and verify automotive semiconductors with a view towards fulfilling internal demand.
