Long seen as the driving force behind global electrification, China’s changing trajectory is now reshaping worldwide automotive growth patterns, competitive landscapes, and technological priorities. Global BEV (battery electric vehicle) growth has already been affected, falling below 20 per cent in late 2025 after months of stronger performance.
