C-Battery, Belgian producer of energy storage systems, has delivered three different smart battery solutions to G&V Energy Group, manager of tank and charging stations in Belgium. Thanks to these systems, the fast charging points can already be taken into use before the necessary network reinforcement has been carried out.
For the sites in Rotselaar, Marke and Waterloo, C-battery always developed a customized configuration.
In Rotselaar, a mobile battery container could still deliver 75% of the desired load capacity on a 250 kVA connection, despite the lack of a 1000 kVA connection on the high-voltage network. After success at that location, the container moved to Marke, where he was re -used after an adjustment in the headquarters in Oudenaarde.
For Waterloo, C-battery opted for a double battery configuration with a ‘grid forming’ and a ‘grid following’ module. This hybrid setup reinforces the limited low voltage connection from 25 kVA to 460 kVA and can also absorb backflow.
