Bridgestone Wounded Warrior Project Campaign Raises $100K

Must read

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO), a subsidiary of Bridgestone Americas, has donated $100,000 to the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). The donation followed a two-week campaign where BSRO pledged a financial gift for every download of the My Firestone and Tires Plus apps by store customers.

“We are honored to support the critical, life-saving work of Wounded Warrior Project for a second year in a row,” said Marko Ibrahim, President, BSRO. “Our nation’s veterans deserve every opportunity to thrive and enjoy bright futures following their service. We are grateful for the partnership of our customers to make a difference in their lives.”

Bridgestone Wounded Warrior Project Parnership

As part of the campaign, BSRO and WWP hosted an injured veteran and their guest at the 109th Running of the Indianapolis 500. The organizers gave them exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to the racing event.

“We must never forget the cost of freedom,” said Brea Kratzert Todd, WWP vice president of business development. “Supporters like Bridgestone make it possible for Wounded Warrior Project to provide life-changing programs and be there for warriors throughout their lifetime.”

The Bridgestone Wounded Warrior Project partnership highlights the tire company’s ongoing commitment to supporting those who served.

Wounded Warrior Project’s Lasting Impact

WWP is the nation’s leading veterans service organization focused on the total well-being of post-9/11 wounded, ill, or injured veterans. Its services address both mental and physical health, with long-term care, PTSD treatment, and support for families and caregivers.

The organization provides these services at no cost to veterans, thanks to partnerships and donor support.

Broader Military Support at Bridgestone

BSRO’s support of veterans extends beyond this donation. It partners with the Army Career Skills and Department of Defense SkillBridge Program to train and employ former service members.

The company also works with the Army & Air Force Exchange Service, offering tax-free tire and automotive services on military bases nationwide for more than 30 years.

Additionally, the BRAVO Employee Resource Group engages Bridgestone teammates through activities and dialogue focused on the veteran experience. The Bridgestone Wounded Warrior Project partnership reflects a broader mission to honor service with action.
