Brady launches barcode readers with 99.995% accuracy

Must read

Brady Corporation has launched three new industrial barcode readers: the V4500, V3200 and V2200. These devices achieve a reading accuracy of 99.995 percent, even when scanning wrinkled or reflective barcodes. The reliability is due to the powerful cortex decoder algorithm of Code Corporation, a company that is part of Brady.

The barcode readers are robustly designed for use in production and warehouse environments. They resist a fall of 2.4 meters, are resistant to a load of up to 113 kilograms and meet protection rate IP65. Depending on the model, they can scan up to 100,000 barcodes on one battery charge and recognize codes up to 92 centimeters away.

The V4500 and V3200 work with the new V1400 loading station, which not only charges the batteries, but also shares data via eight industrial protocols, including Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP and OPC UA. The connection to the charging station is wireless via Bluetooth to 100 meters away. The V2200 can optionally be used with cable.

An additional advantage is the programmability with JavaScript. This allows companies to adjust readers to only scan relevant barcodes, to give signals when kits are incomplete or to automatically process data from structured barcodes. In this way they contribute to efficient and error -free operation in automated processes.
