bpost’s network of parcel kiosks is expanding rapidly: in collaboration with supermarket chain Lidl Belgium & Luxembourg, 240 “bbox” vending machines will be installed in Lidl stores until the end of this year. By the end of the year, the total bbox network in Belgium will have approximately 2,500 machines, of which 240 are at Lidl branches.
By choosing a location – a supermarket chain with a high visitor flow – bpost responds to the preferences of Belgian consumers. An internal survey (August 2025) showed that 62% of respondents like to combine their daily shopping with sending or collecting parcels, and for 73% the supermarket is the best possible location for a bbox.
The collaboration between bpost and Lidl has been going on for eight years and recently reached the milestone of installing the 200th bbox in a Lidl store in Mouscron. In 2025, 451,000 parcels were already delivered in bbox vending machines at Lidl, more than 7,000 orders came from Lidl’s webshop.
