Boost Efficiency with WMS Vendor’s Video Analysis Integration

Must read

Software provider Made4Net is adding computer vision to its warehouse management system (WMS) product through a partnership with Flymingo, creating a system that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze video feeds from existing security cameras and identify potential hiccups in warehouse operations.

The deal marks the latest initiative to analyze video of distribution centers with AI, following similar approaches from firms like Voxel—which uses AI video analysis to help organizations prevent warehouse accidents by identifying potential hazards and unsafe behaviors in real-time—and like LuminX, which applies AI to warehouse video feeds to recognize products, labels, packages, and movement.

New Jersey-based Made4Net says its approach can help organizations achieve better accuracy and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs). According to the partners, it eliminates blind spots in the warehouse by integrating Made4net’s WMS live feed events with Tel-Aviv-based Flymingo’s AI-based platform, providing real-time clarity and actionable insights to warehouse managers.

That strategy lets users monitor previously untrackable floor activities through existing security cameras, identifying errors and deviations before they cascade into larger operational disruptions, they said.
