SeaVees has unveiled a special edition of the Yacht Shoe in collaboration with BFGoodrich Tires, marking the sneaker brand’s 60th anniversary. Available now, the Founder’s Edition Yacht Shoe pays tribute to the original 1964 model launched by BFGoodrich.
BFGoodrich said SeaVees helped pioneer casual footwear before being shelved in 1972 following its acquisition by Converse. Now, in partnership with BFGoodrich for the first time in six decades, SeaVees is reintroducing the SeaVees Yacht Shoe.
The Founder’s Edition Yacht Shoe features:
- Aluminum eyelets and hand-distressed foxing;
- Recycled tire rubber insoles, nodding to its BFGoodrich roots;
- Retro-inspired packaging with vintage artwork;
- Commemorative shoe bags and a replica of the original “Congratulations” card from 1964 boxes.
“The Founder’s Edition is a reflection of the past. Our partnership with BFGoodrich was an opportunity to bring back the original with modern updates that ensure it lasts for years to come,” said Steven Tiller, founder and CEO of SeaVees.
This limited-edition yacht shoe is available now, while supplies last.
