Belgian army orders 13 vehicles from DAF Trucks

Must read

While the last vehicles of the Mega Burning from 2021 have almost been delivered, the Belgian army has placed a new order with DAF Trucks for 13 tractor trailers who will be used for breakdown assistance.

In military jargon, these road vehicles are called Protected Evacuation Vehicles (PEV): they are rapid roadside assistance vehicles used for other vehicles in operating areas and conflict areas. The Belgian army has already purchased nine in 2022. The new order includes 13 CF8X8 tractors in military version. They make extensive use of Tatra Trucks technology, since they are equipped with the Tatra chassis with a central beam and the latest generation of armored cabins from Tatra Army Vehicles. DAF also supplies the Broshuis diepladers with three axles and extendable trailer.
