The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) now offers the ASE G1 certification test online. This new option allows individuals to earn their certification remotely, which ASE said will increase accessibility and convenience.
“We continually strive to improve the test-taking experience and that is why we have expanded ASE remote testing to include the test,” said Dave Johnson, president and CEO of ASE. “ProProctor remote testing has become very popular among those taking ASE recertification tests. By adding this option for the G1 test, we can offer more flexibility to those pursuing this initial certification test.”
Remote Testing Simplifies ASE G1 Certification Test Access
Prometric’s ProProctor platform delivers a reliable, convenient way to take the test, ASE said. ASE also uses this remote testing option for recertification exams.
ASE designed the test to identify technicians who understand and can perform routine vehicle maintenance and light repairs. The test includes 55 scored and 10 unscored questions. Topics cover systems like engines, transmissions, axles, suspension, brakes, electrical, and HVAC. ASE built this test to help employers and customers recognize skilled professionals in the auto service industry.
