The fleet of Arnauts Gastransport, a specialist in gas distribution, now consists exclusively of trucks from Mercedes-Benz Trucks. The last vehicle from another brand was recently replaced by a vehicle with the star, and that has a lot to do with the good relationship with the local dealer Euro-Trucks Claes.
Carl Arnauts started his activities in 1981 with a small Mercedes 608 and a second-hand tanker truck. Today, the company from Kortenaken employs seven trucks and six drivers to distribute gas and install propane systems for Primagaz. Carl Arnauts has used trucks from other brands, but returned to Mercedes-Benz in 2018 with a first Atego, sold by Paul Cooreman of Euro-Trucks Claes.
“Since then, the contact with Euro-Trucks Claes has always remained excellent. Everyone in the workshop helps us quickly and correctly. That inspires confidence,” explains Carl Arnauts. After that first Atego, an Arocs with crane and several Actros trucks for bulk transport were added to the fleet. The final step was taken in 2025: the entire fleet now consists of Mercedes-Benz Trucks. All recently purchased vehicles have a Complete service contract. “It is easier to work with service contracts for our price calculation compared to Primagaz,” explains Carl Arnauts.
