The launch and expansion of Apollo Tyres’s truck tyre distribution strategy across Europe has not gone smoothly. What began in 2017 with the ApolloTyresDirect.com online platform, hit direct-distribution related turbulence and was discontinued. Truck tyre production at the company’s factory in Hungary began towards the end of 2018. However, when our German sister publication got in touch with Apollo’s Indian headquarters, the company confirmed that the Hungary plant’s truck TBR manufacturing operation has been transferred to India.
