Ampe supplies first electric Renault trucks in building version in the Belux

Must read

The honor for the first electric truck from Renault Trucks C e-tech in Belgium goes to dealer Ampe in Olsene. The family business Wavalin, located in Gottem at Deinze and specialized in the processing of Vlas, is at the basis of this Belgian scoop.

The brothers Frederik and Pascal Warlop represent the fourth generation at the head of Wavalin and their vision is clearly focused on the future. That is why they have decided to replace one of their classic trucks with an electric truck. The new Renault e-tech C 6 × 2, equipped with a hook arm system, will be used for internal transport between the various sheds of the company and for local deliveries in the region. For the comfort of the driver, however, he is equipped with a sleeping cabin.

Mechanically this vehicle is characterized by a liftable towing axle and five battery packages of 90 kWh each. That is the maximum that Renault can offer trucks. The battery packages can be charged with green electricity from Wavalin’s own wind turbine.
