Bri-Stor Systems reports that it has won the contract to convert 60 additional Halfords mobile tyre fitting vans with its Power360 lithium-technology. The news follows a similar order for 20 vans last year, which was part of a “two-year trial and successful first wave of Power360-equipped vans”. During that process, Halfords reported fuel savings of more than 30 per cent, with annual CO₂ reductions of over 1,200 tonnes predicted across the fleet of 280 vehicles. By eliminating engine idling during tyre-fitting operations, Power360 reportedly “reduces fuel costs” and “also lowers maintenance requirements and provides a quieter, cleaner service for customers”.
