The Chinese manufacturer Sany, originally specialized in cranes, has been selling electric concrete mixers for several months in collaboration with the German specialist Putzmeister, who took over Sany in 2012. The copy that was exhibited on Matexpo was equipped with a new cabin that will also be found on the E263 tractors who wants to bring Sany to the European market.
In 2024, Sany sold two four-axle Puzmeister concrete mixers in Belgium. “In total we have a few dozen vehicles in Europe, especially in Scandinavia, Iceland, Poland and France,” said Wim Depre, Regional Sales Director at Putzmeister. The electric tractor of Sany has a drive shaft, just like the Mercedes-Benz Eactros 600 and the Iveco S-EWAY. The announced power is 420 kW. There are various battery packages available with a total capacity of 282 to 636 kWh. The maximum range of the vehicle would be 500 kilometers, which seems little considering the maximum capacity of the batteries. A consumption of 1.35 kWh per kilometer is mentioned on the Sanyy website, which is much higher than what European electric trucks get. The load capacity is a maximum of 800 kW.
