Daimler Truck Belgium is going to play a nice ‘stunt’ on the Matexpo fair: the vehicle that will be in the spotlight is nothing less than a European scoop. And it will certainly not go unnoticed, because it is an arocs with … Seven Assen.
This very special truck is custom built for Declercq Stortbeton, a loyal customer of the brand with the star. It is an initiative of Bonneux Machinery, the company from Sint-Truiden that specializes in concrete mixers and is the exclusive importer of the Chinese Xanjer concrete pumps. The basis is an Arocs with four axes, to which the Dutch company Estepe has added three extra axes to reach a total weight of 66 tons and a length of 18 meters. Five of the seven axes are steerable.
Such a chassis was needed to be able to install a Xanjer 6RZ73 concrete pump, which is distinguished by a six-part boom with a range of 73 meters. It is simply the largest pump in Belgium. Rexroth supplied the hydraulic system and the corresponding control, which guarantee an excellent vibration damping and remote control of the machine.
