PlusAI and Goodyear have announced a collaboration to improve safety and efficiency in autonomous freight. The partnership will explore how Goodyear’s intelligent tire technology, SightLine, can enhance PlusAI’s autonomous virtual driver system, SuperDrive.
Goodyear’s SightLine system provides real-time insights on tire health, road conditions, and friction levels by monitoring the tire-road interface. These data-driven capabilities aim to strengthen SuperDrive, reduce fleet operating costs, and improve performance across diverse driving environments, according to Goodyear.
“PlusAI’s leadership in autonomous trucking is built on technology, collaborations, and validation,” said Shawn Kerrigan, COO and Co-founder at PlusAI. “Our collaboration will give us additional vehicle data to further enhance the performance of our SuperDrive system under real-world conditions as we gear up for the commercial launch of factory-built autonomous trucks.”
PlusAI has deployed its autonomous driving technology across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. It has more than five million miles of driving experience. Its growing network of partners, including Goodyear, supports the development of safe, scalable autonomous freight solutions.

“Our collaboration with PlusAI marks a significant step forward in integrating tire intelligence into autonomous trucking,” said Chris Helsel, Senior Vice President & Chief Technical Officer at Goodyear. “We’re helping to elevate vehicle performance, safety, and operational efficiency from the ground up.”
PlusAI serves as the autonomy partner to global commercial vehicle makers TRATON GROUP, Hyundai, and IVECO. Together, it will factory-build, validate, and support autonomous trucks powered by SuperDrive.
PlusAI and Goodyear, along with global partners, target a 2027 launch of SuperDrive-enabled, factory-built autonomous trucks in the U.S.
