MHEDA names Lauren Reed as new CEO

Must read

Logistics industry group the Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA) today named a new CEO to replace outgoing leader Jeannette Walker, tapping Lauren Reed, an executive from warehousing consulting firm Storage Solutions, a Jungheinrich Company.

The move comes after Walker announced in June that she would leave MHEDA’s top post after a two-year stint. In turn, Walker had succeeded the nonprofit trade association’s longtime chief, Liz Richards, who had led the group for 27 years.

In her new role, Reed will bring more than a decade of leadership experience in the material handling industry, including her most recent title as executive vice president of business development at Storage Solutions. She has also been a MHEDA member for many years and currently serves on the Emerging Leaders Advisory Board, the Wauconda, Illinois-based group said.

At MHEDA, Reed plans to make an impact by strengthening member relationships, inspiring innovation, and maintaining the group’s high standards in resources, education, and networking, MHEDA said.

“We are excited to support Lauren as she builds on MHEDA’s strong foundation,” Board Chairman Nate Storey said in a release. “Her experience, insight, and energy give us great confidence in the future of MHEDA. Her leadership will help shape the next chapter of growth for our members and the material handling industry at large.”
