Halfords Group plc has reported a robust financial performance for the 52 weeks ended March 28, 2025 (FY25), with underlying profit before tax (PBT) exceeding expectations at £38.4 million, a 6.4 per cent increase from £36.1 million in FY24. However, the Autocentres division, which accounts for 40 per cent of group revenue, saw revenue drop from £715.7 million in 2024 to £710.3 million in 2025. Nevertheless, like-for-like sales increased 3.7 per cent, driven by strong performance in Service, Maintenance, and Repair (SMR) services and despite a challenging tyre market. In other words, SMR work is offsetting the decline in tyre replacement work.
