In his continuous search for new road safety solutions, Volvo Trucks is launching a new service with which the speed of a truck can be automatically limited in certain zones predetermined by the customer. This service, called Safety Zone, can, for example, be used in a city center or in a port terminal. In fact, it is an additional application to geofencing. Safety Zones is available on subscription via the Volvo Connect portal, initially only for new vehicles and from September 2025 for FH, FM and FMX models that are produced after the autumn of 2022
