The Hyundai Xcient with fuel cell has been on sale in Europe for several years. The Korean manufacturer has now given the model a refresh with a modernized front and a greater range.
Hyundai wanted to unify the appearance of its entire truck range for model year 2027 and this time uses a grille with V-shaped slats, LED headlights and cameras instead of rear-view mirrors (optional). However, the most important thing lies elsewhere: the performance of the Xcient Fuel Cell makes a significant leap forward to remain competitive compared to electric trucks, whose range continues to increase.
It is therefore equipped with a new fuel cell whose power has increased by 7%, but especially with new hydrogen tanks of 700 bar instead of the current 350 bar. This configuration has already been used on models launched in North America and makes it possible to increase the range to more than 550 kilometers instead of the current 400 kilometers.
