Vos Logistics comes into French hands

Must read

The French group Jacky Perrenot has completed the acquisition of the Dutch transport company Vos Logistics. This acquisition makes the group a real heavyweight in European road transport, with a fleet that exceeds 7,000 vehicles.

The Jacky Perrenot group has been experiencing a fairly spectacular growth phase for several years: in 13 years, the fleet has grown from 1,800 to 6,000 vehicles, mainly due to the acquisition of big names in French transport such as Le Calvez and Mendy in 2020. In addition to the classic transport activities, the group has also developed a B2C delivery service under the brand name JP Home (mainly present in Belgium through a branch in Tubize). Until now, Jacky Perrenot had more or less concentrated on the French market, with the exception of the acquisition of the English company Arrow XL.

The acquisition of Vos Logistics therefore marks the real beginning of an international growth strategy: the Dutch group is one of the largest road transporters in Europe in the field of bulk and volume transport, with 2,400 employees, a fleet of 1,000 trucks and 3,700 loading units, mainly active in Northern and Central Europe. In Belgium, Vos Logistics employs approximately 90 people at three separate companies.

Thanks to this acquisition, the Jacky Perrenot group will achieve a combined turnover of almost EUR 1.7 billion and employ more than 12,000 employees throughout Europe. Since the group has set itself the goal of achieving a turnover of 2 billion euros by 2027, we can expect even more acquisitions in the coming months. The acquired activities will be continued under the brand name Vos Logistics by JP.
