Eric Noterman has been permanently appointed CEO of Port of Ostend

The Board of Directors of Port of Oostende has officially appointed Eric Noterman as CEO. After a period as interim CEO, he now has the confidence to further strategically expand the port.

Noterman, who took over temporarily in the autumn of 2025, has developed a strategic plan for the future of the port in recent months. With his final appointment, he can now implement that plan himself. According to the board of directors, he has the right experience and leadership qualities to further develop Port of Ostend.

The 59-year-old Noterman, originally from Reet, has more than 30 years of experience in the logistics and maritime sector. He started his career on the Lange Vaart and subsequently built up a solid reputation at Katoen Natie, DP World and Van Moer Groep, among others. Since 2006 he has held CEO positions in various logistics and maritime companies.
