On 4 March 2026, Kumho Tire Co., Inc. (KTCI) filed a recall report with the US Department of Transport (DOT) National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) triggered by a potential tread wear problem. The recall relates to 11,169 Kumho Solus TA11 tyres, specifically size 225/60R16. However, only around 10 per cent of that figures are said to be affected by the wear issue. The relevant tyres were produced at Kumho’s Gwangju factory in the Republic of Korea, between the 4th week of 2021 and the 5th week of 2023.
