Continental is set to open the 2026 Tire Technology Expo’s technical conference in Hanover on 3 March with a keynote presentation on the tyre technologies shaping the future of autonomous mobility. Dr Andreas Topp, head of platform development and industrialisation for passenger-car tyres, will outline the company’s progress in developing products tailored to the distinct technical requirements of self-driving vehicles. According to Dr Topp, enabling safe and efficient autonomous driving will require tyres that can seamlessly interact with intelligent vehicle dynamics, support optimised fleet operations and be configured for highly specific use cases.
