ATS Euromaster set to close; 35 centres to go to Formula One Autocentres, 14 to Elite Garages

Must read

ATS Euromaster is set to begin “a structured wind-down of its operations in the UK”. The move follows the closure of 86 of its most unprofitable centres in 2025. However, that “failed to halt significant financial losses in a market experiencing over-capacity, rising costs and shifting consumer behaviour”, according to an official statement. Two buyers have expressed an interest in acquiring part of the network. ATS Euromaster reports that it will pursue those options “to preserve as many jobs as possible”. Specifically, the well-known tyre chain is proposing to sell 35 of its 152 points of sale to Formula One Autocentres, and 14 points of sale to S&M Tyres, which trades as Elite Garages. Subject to the completion of these sales, 216 employees across the 49 sites are expected to transfer to the new owners under TUPE regulations.
