UK registrations of new buses, coaches and minibuses grew 10.4 per cent in 2025 to reach 9,259 units. In short, that was best performance for 17 years, according to the latest figures published today by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). What is arguably more impressive is that the aforementioned double-digit growth occurred after 2025 ended with a decline of -28.4 per cent in the fourth quarter, driven by a halving of minibus registrations.
