Volvo Trucks has never sold as many LNG trucks as it will in 2025. The moderate fuel price partly explains this performance, but also the fact that new markets are embracing this alternative fuel.
However, sales figures remain modest, as it took eight years before the 10,000th LNG Volvo was sold. The United Kingdom is Volvo’s largest market, followed by Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, Norway and France. LNG technology is also starting to break through in India and Latin America. There is renewed interest in this technology in European markets as BioLNG becomes increasingly available. This is particularly the case in Germany, Norway, Finland and Sweden, where all petrol stations now offer this fuel.
