Must read

After the XG and XG+ Electric, DAF Trucks is expanding its range of electric trucks with multi-axle versions mainly intended for the construction sector, based on the XD and

Firstly, the DAF XD, This second version is mainly intended for configurations that require a high loading capacity, for example for distribution or transport of building materials. The FTN version is more agile thanks to the steered trailing axle. The FTG comes standard with three batteries, while the FTN can choose between three, four or five batteries.

DAF also offers a 6×2 FAS truck with a dual mounting tag axle with a payload of 10 tons, a maximum permitted gross weight of 28 tons and specially designed for applications that require a high static load capacity, such as transport with a tipper or a container system, where the weight of the cargo rests briefly on the third axle during loading and unloading. A folding third axle is optionally available to reduce energy consumption and tire wear. The 6×2 FAS truck is available with 3, 4 or 5 batteries.

DAF also supplies electric 6×4 (FAT) and 8×4 trucks (FAW) especially for the construction sector. Both have a 21-ton tandem axle with single reduction or reduction hubs and leaf or air suspension. The FAT 6×4 is also available with a 19-ton tandem axle and has a 29-ton PTC. The FAW Electric even reaches 37 tons. Here too, the customer has the choice between 3, 4 or 5 batteries. The FAT 6×4 is also available in a construction version with a ground clearance of 40 centimeters and an approach angle of 25°.
