Schmitz Cargobull will launch a new mobile service in 2025 that will be recognizable by the appearance of the vans. Part of this fleet will be in the hands of the 1400 service partners of the manufacturer, another part will be operated by franchisees.
This new service fleet will take care of the maintenance of trailers and minor repairs and also deliver spare parts. For example, work can be carried out at the customer or on the road, so that the downtime is considerably shortened. All service partners and new franchisees get access to the same IT system for supplying, work management and invoicing.
The customer can choose between original spare parts and cheaper value parts for vehicles with a lower residual value. With regard to cooling machines, the service will not only include Schmitz Cargobull units, but also equipment from other manufacturers. The concept will first be introduced in Germany in 2025 and then in two or three other regions within a period of three to four years.
