HSL Belgium transports to/from Marshalldok and starts rebranding

Must read

HSL Belgium has been appointed as the new railway undertaking for zone 6A (Marshall dock) in the port of Antwerp since January 1, 2026. The rail freight operator, part of the TX Logistik Group, won the tender and thus, alongside Lineas and Railtraxx, plays an important role in first and last mile rail transport in the port.

For the next two to three years, HSL Belgium will be responsible for the transport of block and spot trains as well as complex Single Wagon Load traffic for the Petrol, Iceland and America South terminals. The company thus strengthens its position as a reliable and flexible player in port-related rail transport.

In parallel with this operational milestone, HSL Belgium is also committed to a clear rebranding and further sustainability of its fleet. The locomotives will have their own identity and will be renewed step by step. The first hybrid DE18 locomotive, The Lion, is now active between Antwerp North and Antwerp Petrol and stands out because of its distinctive design. A second new hybrid DE18 will soon follow, which will replace older diesel locomotives.

After a record year in 2025, HSL Belgium also expects strong results in 2026. The company has again been nominated for the Trends Gazellen and is also celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.
