In narrow aisle warehouses, protruding loads pose a significant safety risk to side loaders. Safety distances are often minimal, resulting in limited visibility for the driver. Especially with long or crooked goods, this can lead to collisions and damage to cargo, vehicles and infrastructure.
To reduce that risk, HUBTEX introduces the new assistance system Clear Aisle Assist. This system uses lidar sensor technology to continuously monitor the environment around the vehicle and detect protruding loads in a timely manner. When a potential hazard is detected, the driver is warned and the system can automatically reduce vehicle speed to avoid a collision.
Clear Aisle Assist has been developed to complement existing safety solutions and focuses specifically on preventing collisions with cargo in narrow aisles. The system is available for the PHOENIX series of multi-way side loaders from HUBTEX.
