The company Transport De Vreese from Oostakker (which has nothing to do with Vreese Logistic in Oudenaarde) was declared bankrupt a few weeks ago. The rolling stock is now offered for sale.
Transport De Vreese was active in various niches: the transport of machines and boats, transport by crane and ‘small exceptional transport’. The fleet still consisted of about fifteen vehicles. Transport De Vreese had a particularly bad year in 2022, causing cumulative losses to rise to more than 730,000 euros. Two financial years “in the green” proved insufficient to turn the tide quickly enough, which led to bankruptcy and the appointment of a curator on October 21 last.
