The truck buyers who appealed to Deminor to receive compensation in the context of the cartel of truck manufacturers will receive financial compensation from DAF Trucks. Deminor reports that its customers have concluded a settlement agreement with the Dutch manufacturer.
This settlement concerns the damages proceedings initiated at the Amsterdam District Court following the fines imposed on the cartel by the European Commission. The parties involved do not disclose the amount of damages, but the agreement definitively puts an end to the proceedings regarding DAF. On the other hand, legal proceedings are continuing for the other brands.
The announcement of this agreement gives UPTR great satisfaction, as it had encouraged its members to join this case as a civil party and entrust their interests to Deminor. TLV joined this move some time later.
