Analysts are predicting 8 per cent growth in the Western European heavy trailer market in the second half of 2025. The prognosis for the 2026-28 period is for further increases in trailer demand. Clear International published the analysis as part of its November 2025 forecast for the West European Heavy Goods Trailer Market.
According to earlier research, the imposition of tariffs on imports to the USA caused “a great deal of uncertainty, and as a consequence, a loss of business confidence”. That impacted “the willingness of hauliers to invest in new trailers”. Nevertheless, 8.4 per cent growth is forecast for the second half of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. However, “this will not be enough to offset the fall in demand in the first half of 2025 meaning growth in demand for the whole year will still be very slightly negative”.
