Toyo Tire U.S.A. is displaying its Proxes Sport R performance summer tire, engineered for motorsports enthusiasts and passionate drivers, at SEMA within the Treadpass exhibit.
Toyo said the Proxes Sport R targets applications such as autocross, time attack, endurance racing, and high-performance driving events.
Featuring an aggressive directional tread pattern, reinforced internal casing, and high-grip compound, the tire enhances traction and high-speed stability, Toyo said. The tire also meets competitive class requirements with its 200 AA A UTQG treadwear rating.
“The Proxes Sport R is our latest extreme performance summer tire. It’s crafted for drivers who demand racetrack performance along with the practicality for street use,” said Cameron Parsons, technical field manager for motorsports tires. “We focused on building a very capable tire by incorporating an advanced tread pattern and compound. The result is excellent dry grip and durability on track for the 200 UTQG segment.”
Toyo said the engineers designed the tire for optimal dry handling and stability. The engineers said this ensures consistent lap times while maintaining usability for everyday driving.
The tire will be available in over 50 unique sizes and load/speed combinations for 13- to 21-inch wheel diameters. The company will release the initial sizes in the first half of 2026, with additional fitments following throughout the year.
Toyo said this launch strengthens the Proxes line. The line includes ultra-high performance all-season, extreme performance summer, DOT competition, full-slick competition, and drag radial tires.
